I need a little help. My sister is doing a project and she has asked me to make up a list of anime series that have social relevance of some kind. Does anyone know of any past, currently-running or upcoming series/movies/OVAs that fits the bill? It's doesn't have to be something serious or gritty although those are acceptable and it can be of any genre just as long it's not pornographic. Thanks for the help!

On a side note, school and life have been overtaking my life as of late so I have no idea when I'm going to post anything new on here. I hope I'll get to post some-Halloween/Fall themed fanfics at some point when I'm not totally busy. In addition, to everyone that has given me a llama, favorited something from here, commented and/or added me to their watch: Thank you! I'll try to return the favor whenever I catch a break.

UPDATE: I'll getting so many good suggestions on here and my Tumblr! My sister and I are so happy and grateful to the people who have been helping us out! Let us know if you have any more and ask around! See if there's anyone who have any good suggestions for series that the concepts that we're looking for!

UPDATE: We're good on suggestions! Thank you for your help!

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo is great regarding the constant conflict between talented/well-known people and "normal" people in the artistic domain. Even if you don't find it too relevant, it's really interesting to watch, so I'd advise it.

Hyouka shows about the same thing (talented people VS "normal" people and the social game going on around them, altough they tend to keep it more general) in a lot more subtle and civilized way, and I found this anime to be very fascinating. XD But maybe it's just me...

Oh, and lately, Watashi Ga Motenai No Wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera Ga Warui showed in a quite goofy but shockingly realistic way how the social disease of loneliness (yes, it's a social disease, in a way) manifests itself. But it might only be relevant to people interested in that topic and moreover people who've experienced it...
